Position Overview
Muskoka Event Services is hiring Event Installer Labourers for our busy summer season. This is a physically demanding, hands-on role ideal for individuals who are comfortable with hard work, long days, on call weekends, and working outdoors.
You will work alongside a driver/crew lead to complete event installations across Muskoka and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload event rental equipment (tables, chairs, tents, flooring, etc.)
- Assist with delivery and pickup of equipment at event sites
- Set up and tear down tents and event structures
- Carry equipment over long distances and uneven terrain
- Work at heights (ladders, tent structures)
- Follow direction from the driver/crew lead
- Maintain organization of equipment on-site and in the yard/warehouse
- Ensure equipment is handled carefully and returned in good condition
Work Conditions
- Heavy physical labour (lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling)
- Regular lifting of 50+ lbs
- Working outdoors in all weather (heat, rain, wind)
- Working at heights on ladders and tent structures
- Long days on your feet, often 10–12+ hours during peak days
- Fast-paced, high-pressure environment during busy season
Schedule & Availability
- Seasonal role: June through October
- Must be available Mondays and Fridays (longer hours required)
- Occasional weekend work required
- Early mornings and extended days are common
Requirements
- Physically fit and capable of sustained manual labour
- Comfortable working at heights and outdoors
- Reliable and punctual
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to take direction and work as part of a team
- Must be local to Gravenhurst area for daily commute
Preferred (Not Required)
- Previous labour, construction, landscaping, or outdoor work experience
- Experience using basic hand tools
