Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong background in kitchen operations. As a Sous Chef, you will assist in managing kitchen staff, ensuring food quality, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This role is essential in supporting the Head Chef in delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Duties
- Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate daily food preparation activities.
- Assist in menu planning and recipe development to enhance the dining experience.
- Ensure all food is prepared according to established recipes and standards of quality.
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards throughout the kitchen.
- Train new kitchen staff on food handling procedures and cooking techniques.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to manage kitchen operations effectively.
- Ensure that all dishes are presented beautifully and served promptly.
- Handle any customer inquiries or concerns regarding food service.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Sous Chef or similar role within the restaurant industry.
- Strong supervisory skills with experience in team management.
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations.
- Previous experience in restaurant management or kitchen operations is preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff and management.
- A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional customer service.
