What We’re Looking For:
NetMotion Software is looking for a Technical Writer to join our Victoria office team. This team member will report to the Product Group Director. The Technical Writer role is responsible for producing clear and succinct technical documentation for all NetMotion Software products. You will work closely with the Product Group Director, technical writers, product development teams, technical support, sales and other subject matter experts to gather information, document concepts and procedures, and work within established documentation timelines to provide documentation of products for varying target audiences.

Product documentation includes: user guides, administrator guides, help files, some training material, and other written product material.

Produce high-quality, accurate, usable technical documentation in collaboration with product team members and using independent research.
Validate and edit documentation for clarity and accuracy.
Document procedures, features, usage, etc. for NetMotion software products.
Use diagrams, graphics, or drawings to increase user’s understanding and improve usability.
Actively participate in daily scrum meetings and product planning. Track and manage project tasks using issue tracking software (Jira).
Contribute to the design and usability of our products. Helping plan user experience specifications can lead to fewer revisions later in the development cycle.
Communicate documentation plans, schedules, status, and deliverables, and maintain shared writing resources (references, tips, style guides).
Help create, maintain, and adhere to style guides and standard processes.
Provide editorial assistance outside of Engineering (white papers, Support, content on Play Store/App Store).
Write and prepare documentation for translation and build help systems with translated content.
Collaborate with fellow writer—be prepared to pitch in for each other and fill in for an absent colleague.
Adapt quickly to new scenarios that have high levels of ambiguity.

Your Skills:
3+ years of technical content creation and publishing in an enterprise, Professional Services organization or similar practice.
Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience in English, Technical Communication, Computer Science, Information Design, or related field.
High-level understanding of networking, software development, and programming.
Working knowledge of documentation tools, source control, and tools for managing technical content.
Experience working with engineers and other technical subject matter experts.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills and focus on quality.
Familiarity with Agile development
