Working in a high pace and dynamic environment, the communications analyst is part of a team responsible for change management at Saputo. With a global user base operating in Australia, Argentina, USA and Canada, the change management team oversees the execution of the change management strategy for IT projects impacting business processes.
As a member of the change management team, the communications analyst will be responsible for the creation of communications in the form of e-mails, presentations, newsletters, templates, per established communication plans or on an ad-hoc basis. The communications analyst will participate in the development and production of internal IT communications such as internal newsletters and intranet content. As an integral part of the project teams, the communications analyst will liaise with the project team members to gather the necessary information to produce project communications deliverables that are tailored to the Saputo culture and project context. The successful candidate will have a passion for managing communications to drive business outcomes, be interested in growth within Change Management and IT, and thrive in a dynamic environment working with a diversity of people.

Create project communications in the form of e-mails, presentations, newsletters, per the project communication plans, working with the project team members to gather the necessary information required to produce the deliverables. Understanding of the content is key to create meaningful communications. An appreciation for Saputo culture is also key to ensure communication content is digestible to the target audience.
Create communication plans supporting the communication strategies for IT projects and transformation initiatives. To do this, the communication analyst will need to gain a good understanding of the leadership and governance structures in place and understand how to leverage them. A good understanding of Saputo culture will be key to elaborating effective communication plans.
Coordinate translation of the communications deliverables as required by the demographics of the target audience. The communication analyst will participate in the elaboration of the translation process and will be asked to liaise with the selected translator. Good coordination and structure are required to ensure good follow-ups and control over this activity.
Contribute to the creation of content for projects and IT SharePoint and intranet sites. Working with the IT and project team members, the communication analyst will gather the necessary information details to produce the deliverables which will then be translated as needed and posted.
The communication analyst may be asked to organize meetings and publish meeting minutes. A good understanding of project team members' roles will be required to ensure good execution. A high-level understanding of project topics will be required to produce meaningful meeting documentation.
Contribute to the development and execution of communication plans as needed in the IT project portfolio. Working closely with the communication manager, the communication analyst will provide input to the communication plan elaboration. As the analyst will create much of the communication content, an understanding of the key messages and audience will be critical to a solid execution.
Participate in the development and production of IT internal communications such as internal newsletters, presentations, e-mail templates, etc.…on an ad-hoc basis. Working with the IT management team and other IT functions, the communications analyst will be asked to support their initiatives as it relates to communications.

Bachelor’s in Communications, Business Administration or equivalent work experience
1 – 3 years’ experience in communications or business analyst role
Experience working in manufacturing/distribution industry, preferably in a large organization.
Understanding of the role of communications in a change management approach in the context of business process and technology changes.
Outgoing individual, eager to get to end of job and comfortable reaching out to team members and business resources outside of their immediate team.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to adjust communications to target audience.
Highly detailed and deadline oriented. Ability to perform under pressure leveraging good time management skills.
Good organization and coordination skills
Ability to multi task and manage competing priorities.
Ability to bridge the gap between IT Technical jargon and plain language to make the messages easy to understand.
Proficient in MS Office (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and SharePoint.
Exposure to ERP, packaged software and SaaS implementation methodologies an asset. Cross functional exposure, including Manufacturing, Supply Chain and HR/Payroll an asset.
