Hercules is looking for a Mechanical Test Technician to join our Edmonton team. In this role, you will perform load testing and certification of lifting equipment, rigging gear, and fall protection products used across construction, industrial, energy, and manufacturing industries throughout Canada. No previous industry experience is required. We provide full training and offer a clear path for advancement within a growing national company.

Principle Responsibilities
- Perform load testing on lifting and rigging equipment to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Test and certify fall protection and safety equipment
- Accurately complete testing documentation, certifications, and inspection records
- Assist with rigging, warehouse, and shop activities as required
- Maintain inventory records for testing, certification, and billing purposes
- Perform routine maintenance and care of testing equipment and tools
- Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards
- Support customers by ensuring equipment meets required safety standards before returning to service
Required knowledge and training
- High school diploma or equivalent
- No previous experience required (all training will be provided)
- Mechanical skill is an asset
- Knows how to use tools
- Be able to work in different types of weather climates
- Able to safely lift 50 lbs. from floor level to waist level
- Must hold a valid driver’s license and be insurable
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
