Altum Health is a department within the University Health Network with over 250 employees across several regional sites (Ajax, Barrie, Brampton, Cambridge, Hamilton, Mississauga, Oakville, Scarborough, Toronto, and Vaughan). We offer a full continuum of prevention, assessments, rehabilitation, and health care services to third party payers and individuals, including the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB), employers, auto insurers and LTD insurers.

Altum Health is currently recruiting an energetic, well-organized and experienced Reports Coordinator to support our Auto Insurer Independent Examination (IE) and Treatment services at our Toronto location.

As a Reports Coordinator you will:
Deliver completed reports in a timely manner and of the highest quality
Format the report as per specific formatting requirements based on service level agreement with insurer(s)
Review entire report and edit all non-medical errors such as spelling and grammar errors
Document any inconsistencies and/or omissions within the report
Ensure all customer questions are answered as per the healthcare professional’s area of practice/scope
Add suggested corrections and/or questions related to the content of the report
Send the reviewed and edited report to the healthcare professional for approval, clarification and/or edits
Ensure reports are completed within 10 days of last assessment and submitted to the customer
If multi-disciplinary assessments are required, ensure there is consensus and consistency among healthcare professionals; this may require multiple follow-ups with the healthcare professionals assigned to the file
Track and maintain workflow; as required, re-prioritize and communicate updates with appropriate team members
Complete appropriate billing for each report based on assessment(s) completed
Submit final report to the appropriate portal based on the insurer
Provide exemplary and timely customer support to internal and external stakeholders primarily by phone and electronic mail
Communicate with healthcare professionals if there are any inconsistencies and/or omissions within the report or if there are any suggested corrections and/or questions related to the content of the report
Communicate with healthcare professionals to ensure reports are of the highest quality are completed within time frame outlined in the service level agreement(s)
Communicate with the referring agency/insurance company/customer if clarification is required, if a healthcare professional has requested additional medical documents, and/or if a healthcare professional has requested diagnostic imaging; informing the referring agency/insurance company/customer if a report will be late
Maintain professional and courteous communication with all involved parties
Work as part of a team and collaborate with all parties involved
Escalate any concerns that may arise regarding a report as appropriate
Initiate the completion of the Diagnostic Requisitions
When a healthcare professional recommends a diagnostic image to assist in formulating their opinion, you will seek approval from the referring agency/insurance company/customer to arrange
Assist with process and quality improvements
Provide input on process improvements to leadership
Perform cross-functional duties, as assigned or requested

Completion of a bachelor’s degree in a healthcare related field or recognized equivalent
2-3 years of practical and related experience
2-3 years of experience reviewing and editing Auto Independent Examination reports is required
Previous SABS experience is required
Experience reviewing and editing CAT and Post 104 Auto Independent Evaluation reports is an asset
Healthcare professional designation is required
Completion of CAT certification is an asset
Excellent computer skills in MS Word, Excel, outlook is required
Excellent organization and coordination skills required to ensure timeliness, comprehensiveness and accuracy of report content
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deal effectively with healthcare professionals to obtain or clarify information
Excellent analytical, critical thinking and deductive reasoning skills to interpret information, and identify specific areas that require further investigation
