Salary: Starting at $82,500, (based on a 35-hour work week and commensurate with individual education and experience, as it relates to the position).
Location: Hybrid at DUC head office located at Oak Hammock Marsh near Stonewall, MB

What You Will Do
Reporting to the Director of IT, the Systems Analyst / Project Coordinator splits their time evenly between systems analysis and project coordination for Ducks Unlimited Canada (DUC). On the analysis side, they gather and document business requirements, analyze current-state processes, evaluate vendor solutions, produce functional specifications, coordinate user acceptance testing, and build deep business knowledge of DUC's conservation and fundraising programs. On the coordination side, they plan and track IT project schedules, coordinate cross-functional IT teams and vendors, maintain project documentation, manage risks and issues, and report status to stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Partner with stakeholders across conservation, science, fundraising, marketing, finance, and operations to gather business requirements, document user needs, and recommend technology solutions that support organizational goals.

Analyze and improve business processes by identifying gaps, mapping future-state workflows, and developing functional specifications and solution designs for IT initiatives.

Support the evaluation and selection of technology solutions and SaaS platforms, including RFP/RFI development, vendor assessments, demonstrations, and cost-benefit analysis.

Coordinate and support IT projects from planning through implementation, maintaining schedules, tracking risks and dependencies, facilitating meetings, and providing regular project status updates.

Collaborate with business users, vendors, and the IT team to manage testing, release activities, system integrations, and change communications to ensure successful project delivery.

Define reporting and data requirements and partner with technical teams to deliver meaningful dashboards, insights, and data-driven solutions that improve decision-making.

Promote strong governance, security, and compliance practices by ensuring solutions align with organizational standards and regulatory requirements, including privacy and information security obligations.
Requirements

A minimum of 5 years of experience in systems analysis and project coordination.

A minimum of a college diploma in Business Analysis, Information Systems, Computer Science, Project Management, or related discipline. An undergraduate degree in a related discipline is an asset.

Project Management certification (e.g., CAPM, PMP) or business analysis certification (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) would be considered an asset.

Demonstrated experience supporting IT projects through business analysis, requirements gathering, process improvement, documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders.

Strong systems analysis skills, including facilitating workshops, documenting user stories and functional requirements, configuring business applications, coordinating UAT, and developing reports and dashboards using tools such as Power BI.

Proven project coordination experience, including project planning, resource and vendor management, risk identification, release coordination, and the use of project management and agile tools such as Jira, Asana, MS Project, or Azure DevOps.

Strong written communication skills to prepare business cases, requirements documents, solution designs, project plans, status reports, testing materials, and documentation.

Demonstrate strong professional judgment, initiative, and accountability in managing analysis and project coordination activities.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to learn new technologies and translate business needs into effective technology solutions.

Will be required to be onsite at HQ (Oak Hammock Marsh) between one and three days per week as operational requirements dictate.
Assets:

Familiarity with PMI / PMBOK, PRINCE2, or comparable project management frameworks would be considered an asset.

Experience supporting geographically distributed teams is an asset.
