Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement Contracts Specialist to join a close-knit team of professionals who are dedicated to excellence in public procurement and administrative services within the educational sector. This role plays a critical part in ensuring procurement processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with organizational goals.
Interuniversity Services Incorporated (ISI) is a not-for-profit organization that represents a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of 20 diverse universities and colleges from throughout Atlantic Canada. The ideal candidate should have a functional knowledge of public- sector procurement (procurement planning, contract management, and vendor relationship management) combined with strong analytical and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Project Coordination
- Work with internal teams to plan and execute procurement strategies
- RFx Cycle - manage sourcing activities (RFPs, RFQs, RFIs) from start to finish
- Develop schedules and keep projects on track
- Conduct basic market research and evaluate suppliers
- Identify risks and track procurement performance
Contract Management
- Draft, review, and manage contracts and amendments
- Oversee the full contract lifecycle (award to completion)
- Ensure contracts include clear pricing, deliverables, and compliance terms
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Monitor vendor performance and resolve contract issues
Supplier Relations
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
- Track vendor performance and support improvements
- Lead regular meetings and address any issues
- Assist with onboarding and ensure policy compliance
- Look for cost-saving and value-added opportunities

- Knowledge of procurement, sourcing, contracts, and compliance
- Strong project management, organization, and Microsoft 365 skills

- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and focus on improvement
Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree in procurement, business or related field.
- A combination of education and / or experience sufficient to provide a foundation for learning and progressive professional development
- 2–5+ years of experience in procurement, contract management, or supply chain roles
- Professional certifications such as SCMP, MCIPS, NIGP- CPP or CPPB/CPPO or equivalent are considered an asset
- Experience in post- secondary education or public procurement preferred, but not essential

Pay: $58,000.00-$63,000.00 per year
