Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to grow with a full-scope optometry office in Northeast Brampton? We are looking to hire an optician/student optician/optometric assistant at our modern clinic. The ideal candidate will be able to interact and communicate effectively with people, multi-task and will be a key member of the Riverstone Eye Care Team. We require a full-time commitment with evening hours and one day of the weekend. Some experience is preferred.
The main duties expected are listed below:
- Answering phone calls
- Using electronic medical record keeping software to perform various tasks
- Preparing patients for their eye exam
- Selling glasses, contact lenses and services the clinic offers
- Processing payments
- Suggesting frame designs for the display board
- Adjusting frames for spectacle orders
- Edging and mounting lenses into frames
- Social media content creation for various social media platforms
- Suggesting ways to improve the clinic’s efficiency at meetings
- Ensuring cleanliness of the clinic
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a retail sales or customer service role preferred
- Familiarity with front desk operations in a medical office setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to optometry or ophthalmology
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide exceptional patient care
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Sales skills to assist patients with frame selection and lens options
- Basic knowledge of optical principles and products
