Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Class 1 Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves operating commercial vehicles to transport freight safely and efficiently across various routes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation, and freight handling, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining safety standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in commercial driving.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 1 commercial vehicles, including trucks and trailers, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Transport freight efficiently across designated routes, ensuring timely delivery and pickup
- Conduct routine inspections of vehicles before and after trip
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, mileage logs, and vehicle inspections
- Follow all safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation
Experience
ability to operate a loader not required but considered an asset
Must be experienced with 18 spd transmission
- 3 years minimum Proven experience in commercial driving with a Class 1 license
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required
