Luk & Associates is a growing multidisciplinary law firm serving clients in family law, real estate, wills and estates, landlord and tenant matters, small claims, immigration, and related legal services.
We are looking for a professional, organized, and client-focused Legal Receptionist / Client Intake Assistant to join our team. This role is an important front-line position in our office. The successful candidate will be responsible for greeting clients, answering calls, scheduling appointments, collecting intake information, and supporting the daily operations of the firm.

Key Responsibilities
Reception and Client Support
- Greet clients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
- Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and respond to general inquiries
- Conduct basic client intake and collect accurate contact and matter information
- Schedule consultations, meetings, and appointments
- Provide calm, polite, and professional front-line support to clients
- Ensure client inquiries and follow-up items are recorded clearly and accurately
Administrative Support
- Assist with filing, scanning, photocopying, data entry, and file organization
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and courier arrangements
- Maintain reception area organization and assist with general office coordination
- Support lawyers, paralegals, law clerks, and administrative staff with daily office tasks
- Assist with client intake forms, billing information, and file opening procedures
Basic Legal Office Support
- Assist with preparing, formatting, saving, and organizing standard documents under supervision
- Help maintain electronic and physical client files
- Assist with assembling client packages, forms, and correspondence
- Handle confidential information with care and discretion
Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Fluency in Cantonese or Mandarin is required
- Previous reception, customer service, hospitality, retail, office, or administrative experience is an asset
- Previous law office experience is helpful but not required
- Professional phone manner and strong client-service skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions carefully
- Good organizational and multitasking skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Compensation & Growth
Starting pay is $20.00–$22.00 per hour, depending on experience, language ability, and fit for the role.
We review compensation based on performance, reliability, client service, communication skills, and ability to take on additional responsibilities. Strong performers may have opportunities for increased pay and growth into more senior intake, administrative, or legal assistant responsibilities.
