Overview
We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and detail-oriented Barista/All Rounder to join our team. We are looking to fill the opening shift which begins at 6:00 AM. This role is essential in providing exceptional customer service while preparing high-quality beverages and supporting daily operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food and beverage industry, possess strong time management skills, and demonstrate a passion for creating a welcoming environment for customers. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks following standardized recipes and presentation standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for accurate order processing and cash handling
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, including cashiering duties
- Assist with food preparation and food handling to support overall store operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area in compliance with food safety standards
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, answering questions, and ensuring a positive experience
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service
- Support opening and closing duties as needed, including restocking supplies and cleaning equipment
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a barista or in the food service industry is preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Ability to handle food safely following proper procedures for food safety and hygiene standards
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during peak hours
- Experience in serving, food preparation, and general food handling is desirable
- A positive attitude with a team-oriented mindset and flexibility to adapt to changing needs
