We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Virtual Family Medicine Physician to join our virtual health clinic in Ontario. As a Physician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality healthcare services to patients of all ages through virtual platforms. Responsibilities:
- Conduct virtual consultations with patients of all ages to assess their healthcare needs, provide diagnoses, and develop treatment plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, specialists, and pharmacists, to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
- Perform physical assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe medications as necessary.
- Provide education and counselling to patients and their families on various healthcare topics, including disease prevention, medication management, and lifestyle modifications.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records to ensure continuity of care and facilitate effective communication with the healthcare team.
- Stay current with advancements in telehealth technology and virtual care practices to enhance the quality and efficiency of patient consultations.
- Adhere to all legal and ethical standards of medical practice, including patient confidentiality, informed consent, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification in Family Medicine by the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) and active CPSO license.
- Active and unrestricted medical license to practice in Ontario, Canada.
- Proficiency in using telemedicine platforms and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with patients remotely.
- Excellent clinical judgment and diagnostic skills, with a commitment to evidence-based medicine and patient-centered care.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and patient needs, including evening and weekend hours as required.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing medical education (CME) activities.
