The primary role of the Marketing Assistant is to assist in the development and execution of the communication plan and colour plan to build preference for PPG owned brands in Canada, but most importantly for Sico paint brand. The role will work closely with the Associate Marketing Director and Marketing Manager to ensure projects are executed according to plan, within deadlines and within budget.

The role will work closely with DIY Brands and cross functional teams and at times have a leadership position in project management, owing project coordination across teams such as Market Research, Colour Team, Digital team, Adstock team, Finance team, Agency partners and Printers.

Planning: Maintain the brand scorecards and annual reviews.
Project management: Create and keep an updated a project list to make sure deadlines are met. Copy proof all material before it is sent to printing. Keep a record of expenses to ensure budget envelopes are respected.
Mass media campaigns: Assist in executing campaigns, which includes traditional and digital media, retail/co-op advertising and in-store communication. Help executing campaigns working in close relationship with creative, digital and media agencies.
Digital ecosystem : Assist with the management of all existing digital and social assets. This includes datafile creation and CMS updates for websites, content administration for social assets and CRM support for newsletters.
Colour: Lead weekly check-ins of Adstock material inventory, coordinate the ordering of new material and keep the material catalogue up to date.
Budget management: Support the team by issuing purchase orders, lead invoice management and emit monthly budget recap.

Requirements / Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Marketing or another pertinent discipline;
2 to 3 years of experience in consumer goods marketing or agency;
Candidate must be structured, rigorous, dynamic and autonomous;
Attention to details is essential for success in this role;
Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
Demonstrated problem-solving skills;
Be fully bilingual (French & English), both written and spoken
