Our client, a well-established and highly regarded full-service law firm, is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to join its Vancouver office and support a busy Bankruptcy & Insolvency practice.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and detail-oriented legal professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced litigation environment and takes pride in providing high-quality support to lawyers and clients.
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to lawyers within the firm's Bankruptcy & Insolvency group. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing competing priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.

Draft, edit, proofread, and format legal correspondence, pleadings, affidavits, court forms, and other legal documents.

Prepare and file documents with the courts in accordance with applicable BC procedures and deadlines.

Assist with hearing and trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, materials, and litigation briefs.

Open, maintain, and close electronic and physical files in accordance with firm procedures.

Coordinate lawyer calendars, meetings, hearings, and appointments while monitoring important deadlines.

Assist with billing, accounts follow-up, and other administrative functions as required.

Maintain organized and accurate digital filing systems and ensure documents are appropriately managed and accessible.

Provide general administrative and practice support to the litigation team as needed.

Completion of a recognized Legal Administrative Assistant program or equivalent experience.

5+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant in a BC litigation practice.

Previous experience in Bankruptcy & Insolvency is strongly preferred.

Strong knowledge of BC Supreme Court Civil Rules, court procedures, and litigation processes.

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple files, priorities, and deadlines.

Strong proofreading, spelling, grammar, and document formatting skills.

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and legal document management systems.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
