The Manager of ERP Development is responsible for the oversight and management of the ERP application environment, associated software and the ERP development team. The Manager of ERP Development will effectively and efficiently understand, analyze and improve operations and business processes. In addition, oversee the on-going support of the ERP development environment and all of the related ancillary products and systems.
Reporting to the Director of Information Management and Systems, the Manager of ERP Development will:
Lead and coordinate the requirements and prioritization of software enhancements and/or patches/fixes for ERP application environment;
Work with the business stakeholders to identify, plan, and implement innovative technology solutions and business process improvements that meet functional area needs;
Apply project management methodology to IT projects for new initiatives and business operations;
Establish and implement consistent standards and processes across the team in areas of change management, integration, development, and quality control for release management of applications;
Work closely with developers and IT staff in the daily and on-going support of the applications, including the coordination of patches, upgrades and integration;
Work closely with users to ensure deployed applications are working properly;
Maintain in-depth knowledge of the features of centrally supported products and how they integrate with the Colleague ERP and other enterprise applications;
Oversee and manage daily operations of application development for ERP environment;
Display technical and business leadership and provide mentorship in leading the development team;
Coordinate and prioritize user requests regarding third-party applications, determine system requirements and modifications, feasibility of request, implementation of solution;
Analyze and evaluate ERP third party applications and recommend needed modifications, review application development and maintenance of system;
Install/configure third party solution as needed;
Provide guidance and direction as needed;
Install/upgrade ERP web application (Self Service) as needed;
Configure and implement Self Service as needed;
Oversee the management of custom source code and the deployment of custom work.
Four-year post-secondary education; preferably an honours undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent;
Five to seven years of related experience; preferably with a large ERP;
Proven work experience as a team leader or supervisor;
Demonstrated strong team work and team building capabilities;
Excellent communication and leadership skills;
Organizational and time-management skills;
Technical experience in .NET, Style Sheets, Visual Studio, IIS;
Knowledge of TFS;
Technical knowledge of XML, EDI, APIs;
Experience in BASIC programming;
Previous working experience with Unix, Unidata, SQL, Windows server;
Bilingualism (English and French) or willingness to attend French language training will be required; knowledge of an Indigenous language or demonstrated fluency is a definite asset.
