Cedarmount Capital is a boutique, owner-operated residential property management company built on traditional values, hands-on service, and a strong team culture. We service approximately 550 units across several properties within the GTA, and as we continue to grow, we're looking for a Leasing & Property Administrator to join our team.
About the Role
This role plays a supporting part across our Leasing, Operations, and Finance teams, helping keep day-to-day operations running smoothly. You'll assist with leasing activity, market reporting, and property administration, working closely with the Leasing Manager and Director of Operations.
Responsibilities
- Support the Leasing Manager with day-to-day leasing activities, including postings, showings, and lease document collection and validation
- Coordinate move-in and move-out inspections, including tenant orientations
- Set up new tenancies in Yardi and maintain accurate tenant status throughout the leasing lifecycle
- Gather resident feedback and encourage residents to post online reviews
- Track and report on unit availability and lead traffic
- Conduct site visits to competing properties to gather data for market surveys
- Prepare market reports and present findings to the Director of Operations and Leasing Manager
- Prepare, draft, and distribute tenant notices and correspondence
- Create and process lease renewal and rent increase notices in accordance with the Residential Tenancies Act (RTA)
- Issue rent reminders and follow up with tenants in arrears, escalating to N4 notice processing and liaising with Legal as required
- Assist the Finance department with accounts receivable functions, including monitoring outstanding tenant balances
- Provide general office administrative support, including filing, correspondence, and document management
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; post-secondary education an asset
- 2+ years of experience in leasing, property administration, property management, or a related field preferred
- Familiarity with Yardi and other property management software or online listing platforms is an asset
- Familiarity with Ontario's Residential Tenancies Act (RTA) and related forms (N1, N4) an asset
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable managing multiple, competing priorities and meeting deadlines
- Comfort with common office and productivity tools, including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, is an asset
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Customer-service mindset with the ability to handle resident concerns tactfully
Working Conditions
- Primarily office-based, with some local travel required to visit properties and competing sites
- Standard business hours, with evenings and weekends as needed to accommodate leasing activity
Pay: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
