Reporting to the Vice President, Human Resources, the HR Generalist will focus on supporting the team in employee relations, designing and implementing HR policies, programs, and initiatives, and supporting the workforce throughout the employment lifecycle. The successful candidate will be a broadly-skilled HR professional who is self-motivated, results-driven and brings a track record of strong teamwork and partnership.
This position would be onsite, based our of our Toronto office.
Core Responsibilities

Provide support to employees in the Quebec region in all areas of human resources (performance management, recognition, succession and employee relations) and responds to employee requests, enquiries, and concerns in a timely and solution-oriented manner;

Manages the leaves and disability program, including leave coordination with our benefits provider and employees, accommodation plan development, and designing return-to-work processes;

Provide guidance on the interpretation and application of policies and relevant labour laws

Update and maintain HRIS such as promotions, transfers, probationary review process, new hires and terminations/ resignations (including exit interviews)

Coordinating and managing employee engagement initiatives, including employee surveys and development and maintenance of action plans, based on employee feedback;

Perform regular site visits to properties and offices across the Quebec region; and

Responsible for file management of HR records and preparation of letters, reports, presentations, and memos as required;

Manage the Pure HR Inbox, supporting employees and answering HR-related inquiries;

Support in Quebec regarding the recruitment activities as needed, including posting jobs, applicant screening, participating on interview panels and reference/background checking, drafting offer letters;

Oversee the onboarding program and support to hiring teams

Draft HR related policies and update existing policies as directed;

Performs other duties related to human resources as assigned.

Post-secondary education Human Resource Management, or equivalent combination of education/experience;

3 years of experience in an HR Generalist role;

CHRP designation or equivalent is an asset.

Strong computer skills in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint) and knowledge of HRIS (we use Dayforce);

Strong communication and interpersonal skills;

Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and strong time-management skills;

Demonstrates good judgment and excellent service delivery skills;

Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment;

Bilingual (English/French) is required.
