Job Description:
We are currently looking for candidates to fill open grader operator positions in our gravel base division. These positions include grading of parking lots and both arterial and residential city streets, subdivisions and highways.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures
- Adhere to all company policies and provincial regulations for safe working procedures and environment
- Participate in daily field level hazard assessments in compliance with company policies
- Knowledge and experience for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of equipment
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently in adverse weather conditions
- Check to make sure that equipment functions properly
Job Requirements:
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience
- Must have a valid class 5 driver’s license.
- Display a professional and courteous approach with co-workers, supervisors, and the public.
- Must be physically fit – repetitive bending, lifting, kneeling, walking for long periods of time.
- Problem-solving skills, timeliness, and pride in your work product are essential for success in this position.
- Working in inclement weather, cold, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust.
- Required to work out of town at times.
- Punctual and able to work full time, overtime, and weekends.
