Ye Olde Squire is adding an experienced hospitality team member to our front-of-house crew for a position that blends serving with floor management. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working directly with guests while taking on additional leadership responsibilities during management shifts.
We’re a locally owned pub with a close-knit staff, loyal regulars, and a kitchen committed to fresh, made-from-scratch food. We’re looking for someone who can help keep service organized, support the team, and contribute to the welcoming atmosphere our guests know and enjoy.
Compensation
- Serving shifts paid at server minimum wage
- Floor management shifts paid at $25/hour
Schedule
- 8–9 hour shifts
- Up to 4 shifts per week
- Availability for a mix of daytime, evening, and weekend shifts
- Closed most holidays
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of restaurant experience
- Valid Smart Serve certification
- Confident communication and leadership abilities
- Able to remain organized and level-headed during busy periods
- Comfortable stepping in to assist team members and address guest concerns
- Reliable, positive, and team-oriented
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced restaurant
What You’ll Do
- Provide friendly, attentive service and create a positive guest experience
- Take a leadership role in the dining room during designated floor management shifts
- Help coordinate service and keep front-of-house operations moving efficiently
- Be available to staff for questions, support, and problem-solving
- Respond to guest feedback and concerns and assist with service recovery
- Participate in opening and closing duties
- Help ensure the dining room remains clean, organized, and up to Squire standards
- Communicate and coordinate with kitchen and serving teams throughout service
