Position Summary
Armstrong Regional Cooperative is a growing organization that values excellence, innovation, and teamwork. We are seeking a skilled, dependable, and motivated Maintenance & Repair Technician to join our team.
This hands-on position is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair, and overall upkeep of our gas bar locations, liquor locations, cardlock sites, buildings, equipment, and grounds. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, self-motivated, and takes pride in maintaining safe, efficient, and professional facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance on buildings, equipment, and property.
- Troubleshoot and repair minor mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural issues.
- Inspect and maintain fuel dispensing equipment and coordinate specialized repairs with external contractors when required.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify maintenance requirements, safety concerns, and opportunities for improvement.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and facility-related concerns.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with facility improvement projects, renovations, and seasonal maintenance activities.
- Support the overall appearance and functionality of all Cooperative facilities.
Qualifications
- Experience in building maintenance, property maintenance, construction, mechanical repair, or a related field.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple priorities.
- Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and building systems.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Experience with fuel facilities, cardlock systems, commercial properties, or agricultural facilities is considered an asset.
- Ability to work flexible hours and respond to urgent maintenance situations when required.
