Clearwater Seafoods Retail Store located in Bedford, Nova Scotia is seeking a Retail Sales Associate for a part-time position. Availability to work weekend shifts is required.
Purpose of Position
The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the retail store, with a focus on customer service and sales support. The ideal candidate will gain hands on experience assisting customers, processing sales transactions, merchandising products, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. This role supports store operations and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced retail setting.
Reporting Structure
This position reports to the General Manager, Retail & Ecommerce & Store Supervisor.
Duties & Accountabilities:
- Deliver friendly professional and high quality customer service at all times
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers and team members
- Maintain a clean organized and welcoming store environment
- Handle live lobsters and other seafood products safely and with care
- Ensure seafood counters are fully stocked properly displayed and rotated
- Follow food safety health and workplace safety procedures consistently
- Work effectively as part of a team and assist coworkers during busy periods
- Adapt to changing priorities and customer needs in a fast paced environment
- Show attention to detail when handling products pricing and displays
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude
- Carry out other duties as required to support store operations

Qualifications:

Working Conditions
- Must be able to work with shellfish and seafood
- Variety of shifts occurring throughout 7 days
- Hours of work vary between 8am-7pm ( Bedford) & 6am-7 pm (Airport)
- Work location is both Bedford Retail Store and Halifax Airport Retail Store
- Work Hours: This is a permanent full time/part time position.
