Position Overview
Reporting to the Controller, the Bookkeeper supports the day‑to‑day financial operations of Elite Auto Group and plays a key role in maintaining accurate, timely, and organized financial records. This position ensures that financial data is processed with precision and aligned with the organization’s mission, vision, and values.
Working closely with the Finance Team, the Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining the general ledger, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, payroll processing, and assisting with month‑end and year‑end processes. The bookkeeper will also be responsible for the Elite Auto Group’s accounts receivables and work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure invoices are accurate, payments are collected promptly, and customer accounts are maintained with professionalism and care.
Qualifications + Knowledge, Skills + Abilities
- Completion of a college program in accounting, bookkeeping or a related field; or completion of two years (first level) of a recognized professional accounting or bookkeeping program
- Minimum 2 years’ experience progressive bookkeeping or accounting experience OR completion or pursuing Certified Professional Bookkeeper (CPB) designation is an asset
- Completion or pursuing Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation is an asset
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks Online, IMEX.
- Excellent judgement and decision-making ability; particularly in relation to finance and risk management
- Ability to identify problems and demonstrate resourcefulness and creativity in solving them
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to thrive in changing and demanding environments and adapt to shifting priorities
- Well organized and self-managed with strong multi-tasking ability
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy while having the ability to step back and understand and assess the overall results and objectives

Pay: $58,000.00-$68,000.00 per year

Experience:
