Sweet Thea bakery is looking for a full time Chef! We are a busy cafe open 7 days a week, 7am to 7pm, with 30 seats, serving coffee, pastries, sourdough bread, and a light breakfast and lunch menu.
Yes, we are a scratch bakery pumping out everything from natural sourdough bread to pies, laminated pastries, and cakes, but we also have a fantastic kitchen that is getting busier by the week and we are excited to find the right chef to lead this growing food adventure.
Our menu items are focused around the use of our sourdough breads, so lots of toasts, soups, and really great sandwiches. We are looking for someone who loves to cook, loves food, can create without recipes, is creative but also mindful of food cost and waste, and never sends out a bad looking plate of food. This kitchen needs a detail oriented person, someone who is organized, can delegate, and is familiar with ordering and keeping the fridges in tip top order.
This is a daytime position. The shifts are 8:00am to 4:30pm, 5 days a week with Tuesdays Wednesdays off.
