Duties
- Perform comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical components, and HVAC systems.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized diagnostic equipment to identify issues accurately and efficiently.
- Conduct heavy lifting and mechanical work on a variety of vehicles and heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete work orders promptly, and ensure all repairs meet safety standards and quality expectations.
- Assist with the maintenance and operation of industrial equipment and heavy machinery to support ongoing service needs.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
Experience
- Proven dealership or automotive repair shop experience with a strong background in automotive maintenance and repair.
- Hands-on experience working with heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, or farm machinery is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge of Caterpillar or other industrial equipment is a plus.
- Familiarity with electrical systems, schematics, welding techniques, HVAC systems, and assembly processes enhances your versatility.
- Experience operating heavy equipment or industrial machinery demonstrates your ability to handle diverse maintenance tasks efficiently.
- Strong customer service skills combined with technical expertise ensure positive interactions with clients.
- Prior experience with power tools, hand tools, heavy lifting tasks, and adherence to safety protocols is essential for success in this role.
