Job Summary:
This position combines the responsibilities of Front Desk and Night Audit to provide exceptional guest experiences, smooth hotel operations, and accurate end-of-day reporting. The ideal candidate is professional, dependable, and flexible, with strong customer service skills and the ability to perform a variety of tasks across both day and overnight shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
Front Desk Duties:
- Welcome and check guests in/out efficiently while ensuring accuracy in Opera Cloud PMS.
- Process reservations, room assignments, and guest requests.
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and posting charges.
- Respond to guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests in a professional manner.
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Night Audit Duties:
- Balance and reconcile daily guest and non-guest accounts.
- Prepare and distribute end-of-day financial and operational reports.
- Verify accuracy of postings, payments, and settlements.
- Ensure all financial data complies with company standards and accounting policies.
- Perform overnight front desk coverage, ensuring guest safety and satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Previous hotel front desk and/or night audit experience is an asset
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
- Proficiency in Opera Cloud or similar PMS preferred.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including overnight.
