Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and possess strong skills in food and beverage preparation, cash handling, and food safety. This role involves preparing high-quality coffee and beverages, serving customers efficiently, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. The successful applicant will bring previous barista experience, familiarity with POS systems, and excellent time management skills to ensure a smooth operation during busy hours.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, and specialty beverages with precision and consistency
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with customers professionally and courteously
- Handle food preparation tasks including assembling food items, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring quality control
- Manage cashier duties including processing transactions accurately, giving correct change, and balancing cash drawers at shift end
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and dining areas in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Ensure adherence to food safety standards including proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies as needed
- Support team members during peak hours to ensure efficient service delivery
Experience
- Prior experience as a Barista in the food industry is highly preferred
- Proven skills in serving, food preparation, cashiering, and food handling
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong time management skills to handle fast-paced environments effectively
- Excellent customer service abilities with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety protocols to ensure compliance with health regulations
