Cake It is a specialty bakery café with daily‑baked pastries, custom cakes, creative drinks, and top‑quality coffee. We love working in a fun, social environment where every customer is greeted with a smile.
What You’ll Do:
- Greet customers and strike up friendly conversations
- Prepare espresso drinks, iced beverages, pastries, and more
- Serve desserts and pastries to clients over the counter (not like a server).
- Upsell specials and menu items with confidence
- Keep your workspace clean and follow food safety standards
- Maintain equipment and restock supplies as needed
- Be a team player with positive energy and reliability
What We’re Looking For:
- At least 2 years of café barista experience - MUST (No, juice bars, fast food, McDonald’s, or bubble tea do not count)
- Friendly, outgoing, smiling, and people‑oriented
- Punctual and reliable with good communication habits
- Looking for long‑term work, not just seasonal
- Must speak English fluently; French, Hebrew, Russian, Spanish, Mandarin are a bonus
- Food Handler Certification required
Work Schedule:
- Part‑time only
- Morning shift: 9 am to 3 pm
- Evening shift: 3 pm to 9 pm
- Must be available on weekends
Pay:
- Base pay competitive based on experience
- Tips awarded based on performance after training (about one month duration)
- Most team members earn between $20–22/hour once fully trained and performing well
