Warehouse & Event Setup Technician
Majestic Events & Rentals is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and hands-on team member for a permanent, year-round role based out of our Winnipeg warehouse.
This position is well-suited for someone who enjoys active, physical work and prefers variety rather than a repetitive routine. Day-to-day responsibilities may include preparing rental orders, loading and unloading equipment, making deliveries and pickups, assisting with event setups and teardowns, and supporting general warehouse organization and maintenance.
Work changes with the seasons. In the spring and summer, the focus is heavily on event installations, deliveries, and on-site setups. In the fall and winter, the role shifts more toward cleaning, repairing, maintaining, and organizing equipment, along with preparing inventory and orders for the upcoming busy season.
We are not looking for short-term seasonal help. We are looking for someone who wants to grow with the company, learn the business, and potentially move into a leadership or operations-focused role over time.
What the Role Involves
This position combines warehouse operations, logistics, and event support work. Tasks may include:
- Preparing and checking rental orders before they leave the warehouse
- Loading and unloading event equipment such as tables, chairs, tents, staging, and décor
- Completing deliveries and pickups across Winnipeg and surrounding areas
- Assisting with setup and teardown of event equipment on-site
- Cleaning, inspecting, repairing, and organizing rental inventory
- Ensuring equipment is returned correctly and reporting any issues or damage
- Following delivery instructions, checklists, and company procedures
- Safely operating company vehicles and securing loads properly
- Communicating professionally with clients during deliveries and event setups
- Maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse environment
- Supporting seasonal staff and learning installation standards over time
- Assisting with general maintenance, repairs, and operational tasks as needed

No prior event rental experience is required.
Experience in warehouse work, moving, delivery driving, construction, landscaping, farming, mechanical work, or similar hands-on roles is considered an asset.
Requirements
- Valid Manitoba Class 5 driver’s licence
- Clean or acceptable driver’s abstract
- Ability to safely operate company vehicles
- Physically capable of lifting, carrying, and moving heavy equipment repeatedly
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Availability for early mornings, occasional evenings, and weekends during peak season
- Reliable transportation to our Winnipeg warehouse
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
Trailer experience is an asset but not required.
Schedule & Work Environment
This is a full-time, permanent year-round position.
Hours are typically higher during the spring and summer event season, with occasional overtime and weekend work depending on event demand. During the slower months, hours may be reduced and the focus shifts toward maintenance, repairs, inventory work, and preparation for upcoming events.
Because of the nature of the business, flexibility is important. Workload can change quickly based on event schedules, weather, and client needs.
Compensation
$22.00–$24.00 per hour, based on experience, driving ability, mechanical aptitude, and overall responsibility level.
Wage increases are possible as the employee gains experience and takes on more independent responsibilities such as leading setups, handling deliveries, and supporting crew coordination.
