Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time Early Childhood Educator (ECE) or Early Childhood Education Assistant (ECEA) to join our team. This role involves supporting the development and education of young children in a nurturing and engaging environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, possess strong communication skills, and demonstrate organizational and leadership abilities. Duties
- Assist in implementing age-appropriate educational activities and lesson plans for young children
- Support children's social, emotional, and developmental growth through engaging interactions
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
- Collaborate with lead teachers and staff to ensure a positive learning experience
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members regarding daily activities and progress
- Support children with special needs or disabilities as required
- Use computer skills to document observations, attendance, and developmental milestones
- Manage classroom routines efficiently, including transitions, meal times, and rest periods
- Lead small group activities to foster learning and socialization
- Uphold licensing standards and safety regulations at all times
Requirements
- Valid certification as an Early Childhood Educator (ECE) or Early Childhood Education Assistant (ECEA)
- Experience working with children in classroom settings preferred
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent organizational skills and time management abilities
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while demonstrating leadership qualities when needed
- Compassionate attitude towards children’s needs and development
- Ability to pass background checks as required by licensing standards
