Velaro Cannabis is a premium cannabis boutique dedicated to delivering an elevated retail experience. We believe customers should be able to see, smell, and choose with confidence. We are looking for a mature, confident, and customer-focused Budtender who is passionate about exceptional customer service and thrives in a professional retail environment.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys educating customers, building relationships, and taking ownership of the store during their shift. The successful candidate will provide knowledgeable product recommendations while ensuring full compliance with all cannabis regulations.
Responsibilities
- Welcome every customer with a friendly, professional attitude.
- Educate customers on cannabis products and make personalized recommendations.
- Operate the POS system and process transactions accurately.
- Verify customer identification and comply with all AGCO and Cannabis Act regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and premium-looking sales floor.
- Restock inventory and assist with merchandising and inventory management.
- Open and close the store following company procedures.
- Handle challenging customer situations calmly, professionally, and respectfully.
- Help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for customers and staff.
- Must be able to deliver orders when and as required.
Qualifications
- Valid CannSell certification (required).
- Previous cannabis, retail, hospitality, or luxury retail experience is an asset.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Comfortable working independently and taking responsibility for the store during shifts.
- Mature, dependable, honest, and trustworthy.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the confidence to professionally de-escalate difficult situations.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check as a condition of employment.
- Must a valid driver’s license and a reliable car.
