Woodfield Canada is looking for a professional, dependable and highly responsible Executive Driver based in London, Ontario.
The primary purpose of this role is to provide safe, comfortable and reliable transportation for company executives, primarily between London and Toronto approximately three days per week, allowing them to work and remain productive while travelling.
This is not a delivery-driver position. We are looking for someone who takes pride in professionalism, punctuality, discretion and providing an exceptional experience.
What You'll Do
- Drive company executives primarily between London and Toronto
- Provide occasional transportation throughout Southern Ontario
- Make occasional trips into Michigan, including Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW) and other business destinations
- Plan routes and departure times around traffic, weather and road conditions
- Provide a smooth, safe and comfortable driving experience
- Keep the executive vehicle exceptionally clean, organized and ready for use
- Ensure the vehicle is fueled/charged before trips
- Coordinate vehicle cleaning, maintenance and service as required
- Assist with luggage, materials and other items when appropriate
- Maintain complete confidentiality regarding business discussions, meetings and passengers
- Complete occasional company errands, pickups or other useful tasks while waiting between trips
- Maintain mileage and basic vehicle records
- Perform basic pre-trip vehicle inspections
Some days will involve an early departure from London, waiting in Toronto during the business day, and returning to London later in the afternoon or evening.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is:
- An excellent, confident and defensive driver
- Exceptionally reliable and punctual
- Professional in appearance and conduct
- Calm and patient in heavy Toronto traffic
- Comfortable driving larger luxury SUVs and passenger vans
- Discreet and trustworthy
- Organized and able to plan ahead
- Comfortable working independently
- Flexible when schedules occasionally change
- Naturally attentive to details
- Someone who takes pride in keeping a vehicle clean and well maintained
Previous experience as an executive driver, chauffeur, professional driver or similar role is an asset, but character, judgement, reliability and driving ability matter more to us than having a traditional chauffeur background.
Requirements
- Valid Ontario driver's licence
- Excellent driving record
- Valid Canadian passport and ability to travel into the United States
- Ability to regularly travel between London and Toronto
- Comfortable driving in Michigan and to/from Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW)
- Comfortable with highway driving in all seasons
- Ability to work occasional early mornings and later evenings
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Ability to meet company vehicle insurance requirements
- Driver's abstract and references will be required
Compensation & Schedule
$28–$32 per hour, depending on experience.
This is intended to be a full-time, permanent position, with approximately three London–Toronto travel days per week plus other driving and company responsibilities as required.
The schedule will vary based on executive travel and may include early mornings or later returns. The driver will generally remain on paid time while waiting between the outbound and return portions of scheduled executive travel.
