What will you do?

The Contract Content and Campaign Producer is a part-time role supporting the Thermo Fisher Global Cannabis Initiative involving the hands-on creation and output of various types of content for campaigns, commercial teams and online/offline channel distribution as part of a commercial and technical marketing program geared to the emerging cannabis market.

With a priority focus on technical methods and applications, the Content and Campaign Producer must be comfortable and capable of working with technical analytical workflow data and information and adept at synthesizing complex topics into concise and well crafted content for a scientific oriented audience.

Writing will be a major component of the work of the Content and Campaign Producer so they must have a demonstrated ability to consistently produce high-quality written content that maintains the scientific and technical accuracy necessary for the type of content we will be focused on presenting and publishing.

Video will be a major type of content feeding campaigns and a secondary focus for this role to support plans for the capture and production of scientific content to feed online and commercial channels to support sales and aid customers getting up and running quickly.

The Content and Campaign Producer will be responsible for delivering content assets and assignments on time and on budget based on the Content Calendar linked to the initiative A3. It’s key that this candidate possess strong multiple workstream project management with a demonstrated track record managing different taks and activities simultaneously to keep to a Master Calendar and maintain a cadence of content output meeting legal ad quality standards.

How would you get there?

Ideally this candidate has solid experience in writing for science and with a technical orientation or background that can support researchers and busy scientists who can generate raw content and data, but need help crafting the content into well honed content for external consumption and commercial use.

Because social media and online channels are key to reaching our target audiences, its important this person understand digital marketing and how paid and earned media works, at least at a basic level with a few years of experience like in Social Media account management or blogging.

Qualifications (Education, Experience and Key Competencies):
Degree in science (chemistry, biology, or related discipline)
Excellent oral & written communications with demonstrated ability to write consistently good and technically oriented content
Strong interpersonal/relationship skills – particularly intercultural skills; with intense customer orientation and empathy.
High comfort level writing and producing video content about workflows involving technical products
Ability to work effectively and influence others in a matrix environment.
Ability to effectively multitask and deliver on priorities.
High level of intensity and positive approach to embracing change.
Prior drafting of scientific presentations, posters and publications

Required Education:
BS degree in Chemistry or related discipline
