We are seeking experienced AZ Drivers for long-haul routes between the US and. This role involves operating commercial vehicles across extensive distances, ensuring timely delivery of freight while maintaining safety and compliance standards. Duties
- Safely operate heavy-duty trucks and trailers over long-distance routes, adhering to all federal and state transportation regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and operational readiness.
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance reports.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues encountered during transit.
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to keep vehicles in optimal condition.
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts when required for loading or unloading freight at various facilities.
Skills
- Valid AZ Commercial Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Experience in freight transportation, preferably with long-haul routes across multiple states or regions.
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment including forklifts and other loading machinery.
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues on the road.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to commercial driving and heavy equipment operation.
- Ability to manage time effectively, plan routes efficiently, and adapt to changing schedules or conditions.
- Excellent communication skills for coordination with dispatchers, clients, and team members.
