Manager - Transformation Solutions, Third Party IT Risk

What is the opportunity?

The Manager, Transformation Solutions is anchored within the Third Party IT Risk (TPITR) Transformational Solutions team and continuously looks for process efficiencies around analysis and management of risks presented to RBC’s brand, data, systems and operations by third parties working with or for RBC. The mandate covers partnering with various technology teams to recommend solutions to enhance our third party IT risk due diligence capabilities.

What will you do?

Serve as a subject matter expert and analyze current risk assessment processes and recommend solutions to enhance the overall process by driving efficiencies and promote automation where required. The solutions recommended will be applied to implement a robust Supplier Control Assessment process which is aligned with internal standards / policies, industry frameworks and best practices within an enterprise GRC platform for the purpose of driving increased due diligence, efficiencies and automation.
Performing current state analysis of existing processes followed for TPIT Risk Assessment and identify areas of improvement. (10%)
Partnering with key stakeholders and define new processes/business solutions depicting process improvements. (10%)
Leading and managing target initiatives that contribute to the TPIT Risk process improvement with the following responsibilities: (50%)
SME for any requirement clarifications for the TPIT Risk Initiatives, any new additions to the TPIT Risk Initiatives. Conduct on-demand presentations to promote awareness of the initiatives.
Coordinate project tasks with other project members (assigned to specific modules) of TPIT Initiatives, oversight of the product status to the principle product owner. Identify risks that impact product delivery and escalate when required.
Creating a comprehensive and uniform business implementation plan for all TPIT Risk Initiatives by partnering with organizational change management and communication teams to promote awareness of the new products/process scheduled for delivery. The implementation planning should cover approaches for pilot as well mass roll-outs of products.
Embedding into the AGILE project delivery process by collaborating with the development team to provide direction for product development by ensuring understanding of the overall objective of the initiative, setting priorities for incremental product delivery and have an oversight of overall development. (30%)

What do you need to succeed?
Must Have

3-5 years of experience in an IT Risk, Audit, Third Party Vendor Assessment or Information Security role with an understanding of Audit, Security and Risk.
Experience gathering information from a range of different sources and in a number of different ways e.g. data collection, interviews, meetings, review of processes, manuals, and documentation review.
Demonstrated experience working as part of a team - coupled with ability to gather and analyze information & provide a suitable solution
Experience with GRC methodologies, tools and enablers preferably in a financial industry
Strong thought leadership in Third Party Risk Management and ability to act as management when required
Strong project management skills and Excel Skills

Nice to have

Bachelor’s Degree or higher
One of more of the following certifications – CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC
