Job Summary
Our clinic is growing, and we’re looking for a friendly, organized, and compassionate individual to join our team! The proposed role includes both reception and assistant duties. We are looking for someone who enjoys interacting with clients and pets, is adaptable, reliable and eager to contribute to a positive environment in a busy and unique veterinary setting. We are looking for someone who takes initiative and is eager to learn new skills.
Duties
- Reception duties: Greeting clients and checking in their pet for their appointment, cleaning and preparing exam rooms between patients, scheduling appointments, processing payments, end of day reports and office cleaning, process insurance claims
- Assistant duties: assist technician and veterinarian with patient care- including tasks such as helping with IV catheter placements, shaving, and aseptic preparation for joint injections, surgery suite clean up, preparing and sterilizing surgical instruments
- Room Assistant: assist veterinarian with appointment flow, and animal positioning for examinations
Requirements
- Previous experience in a veterinary work environment an asset, but not mandatory
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with clients and their pets
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Comfort working with animals
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
