Job Overview
The Shipper/Receiver plays a crucial role in the logistics and distribution process within our warehouse. This position is responsible for managing the flow of goods in and out of the facility, ensuring that all shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Receive incoming shipments, inspect for damage, and verify contents against purchase orders.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by packaging products securely and labeling them correctly.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory levels and manage order fulfillment.
- Operate material handling equipment such as reach trucks and order pickers to move products within the warehouse.
- Maintain accurate records of shipping and receiving activities, including data entry into AS400 or MRP systems.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely processing of orders and efficient warehouse distribution.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Skills
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems is preferred.
- Strong basic math skills for accurate inventory management and order fulfillment.
- Experience in shipping and receiving processes, including knowledge of packaging standards.
- Familiarity with warehouse distribution practices and procedures.
- Ability to operate reach trucks and other material handling equipment safely.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and other departments.

Pay: From $17.20 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

- Mississauga, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:
- shipping and receiving: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Forklift Licence (preferred)
