Duties
- Prepare and assemble sushi dishes with precision and attention to detail, ensuring presentation meets quality standards
- Handle all aspects of food preparation, including slicing fish, rolling sushi, and assembling ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist in meal preparation for various menu items beyond sushi as needed
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed to uphold hygiene standards
- Serve customers with professionalism and courtesy, providing excellent food service experience
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency across dishes
Skills
- Proven experience serving, preparing, and cooking sushi or similar Japanese cuisine
- Strong background in food preparation, food handling, and kitchen operations within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation practices
