We are seeking a skilled Events and Communications Coordinator to support internal communications, foster team engagement, and drive internal and external communication initiatives that align with our strategic goals.
Position Overview:
The Events and Communications Coordinator will be responsible for planning and executing internal events and communications, managing team engagement activities, and leading internal communication efforts to promote team cohesion and maintain a positive firm culture. This role is crucial in supporting firm culture, facilitating communication among teams, and enhancing staff engagement through effective internal communication strategies and well-organized events.
Key Responsibilities:
Internal Events Management:
- Plan, organize, and execute internal events such as team-building activities, staff appreciation events, internal training seminars, and firm-sponsored activities.
- Coordinate logistics including meeting room arrangements, team invitations, RSVPs, and on-site management.
- Collaborate with leadership to ensure event objectives align with internal team culture and engagement goals.
- Manage internal event budgets, track expenses, and provide post-event analysis and feedback reports.
Internal Communications:
- Develop and implement an internal communications strategy to support the firm's culture and team engagement.
- Assist with the creation and editing of internal newsletters, announcements, internal blog posts, and internal team updates.
- Manage the firm's internal communications channels, ensuring consistent and engaging content that fosters positive team morale and keeps staff informed.
- Support leadership with presentations for internal meetings and internal marketing materials.
Coordinate firm sponsorships and Marketing Strategy and Execution:
- Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns to promote the firm’s services and expertise across multiple channels (digital, print, social media, etc.).
- Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive positioning within the accounting industry.
- Manage and optimize the firm's website, ensuring content is up-to-date and SEO-friendly.
- Oversee email marketing campaigns, including list segmentation, content creation, and performance analysis.
- Track and report on the effectiveness of marketing initiatives using key performance indicators (KPIs) and analytics tools.
Client and Stakeholder Team Engagement and Firm Culture:
- Work with HR and leadership to create and implement strategies that foster a positive work environment and promote team engagement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, partners, and staff to facilitate open communication.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal event coordination and team communication-related inquiries.
- Gather feedback from staff to continuously improve the quality and impact of internal communications, events, and team initiatives.
Administrative Support:
- Maintain an organized internal events calendar and track deadlines for internal communications and engagement initiatives.
- Assist with general administrative tasks as needed to support internal communication efforts.
- Ensure consistency with firm culture and communication guidelines across all internal events and communications materials.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in event planning and internal communications, preferably in a professional services or corporate environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with internal event management software (e.g., Eventbrite, Survey Monkey) and content management systems (e.g., WordPress).
- Experience with social media platforms LinkedIn, X, etc.) and email marketing tools (e.g., MailChimp).
- Familiarity with digital marketing strategies, SEO best practices, and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
- A high level of professionalism and the ability to interact effectively with senior staff and clients.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the accounting or financial services industry.
- Graphic design skills and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign).
- Knowledge of content marketing and internal communication strategies.
