Job Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Programmer for one of our clients in Mississauga, ON. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machinery to manufacture high-quality precision components. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and experience working in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment.
Responsibilities
- Program CNC machines using appropriate programming software and machining techniques.
- Set up and operate CNC equipment to produce parts according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical documents.
- Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and machine settings.
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as required to maintain quality standards.
- Inspect finished products using measuring instruments to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications.
- Troubleshoot programming, tooling, and machine-related issues.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment in good working condition.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to improve efficiency and productivity.
Requirements
- Previous experience programming and operating CNC machines.
- Strong understanding of CNC programming software and machining processes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
- Experience working in a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of precision measuring instruments and quality control procedures.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused.
- Must have valid authorization to work in Canada.
