Job Description
We are currently hiring an experienced AZ Flatbed Driver for a well-established construction equipment and materials company based in Whitby, Ontario.
This position is ideal for a reliable driver looking for local work with no overnight trips. Drivers return home every day.
The role starts on a part-time basis (approximately 25–40 hours per week) with the opportunity to transition into full-time hours as business demand increases.
Responsibilities
- Operate manual transmission AZ trucks with flatbed trailers
- Transport construction equipment and building materials
- Safely load and unload equipment
- Secure loads using straps and chains
- Complete local deliveries throughout the GTA/Durham Region
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections
- Maintain excellent safety standards and professionalism
Requirements
- Valid Ontario AZ Licence
- Minimum 3 years of AZ driving experience
- Minimum 25 years of age (insurance requirement)
- Clean CVOR and Driver's Abstract
- Experience operating manual transmission trucks
- Previous flatbed driving experience
- Experience with load securement (strapping and chaining)
- Ability to load and unload construction equipment
- Physically capable of securing loads throughout the day
Assets
- Moffett (truck-mounted forklift) experience
- Construction equipment transportation experience
- Heavy equipment operation experience
