Mosaic Speech Therapy is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our growing team of contract therapists in Edmonton, Alberta.

Mosaic Speech Therapy is located within a professional medical building, United Health Centre, in Central Edmonton (very close to the university). The clinic is located within a building where there are professionals such as dentists, psychologists, and family physicians only steps away. Collaboration with other involved health professionals is highly valued.

The Occupational Therapist will:
- Complete screening and standardized assessment of deficits in fine motor, gross motor, sensory, sleep, picky eating, and related disorders.
- Interpret test results in conjunction with other related medical, behavioural and educational information to identify motor and related disorders.
- Demonstrate proficiency in treatment planning, including the development of individualized treatment plans tailored to client needs.
- Determine appropriate diagnostic instruments to use with each patient.
- Provides information and recommendations to assist in understanding the clinical condition and ongoing care and management.
- Consult and provide advice and services to patients and families regarding fine motor, gross motor and related disorders.
- Accurately document findings in the electronic health record.
- Act as a resource and provide supportive training to team members to assist in their professional development.
- Participate in the development of children’s mental health teaching and resource materials.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in occupational therapy.
- Active registration and in good standing with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).
- Knowledge of evidence-based occupational therapy assessment and intervention practices for children, adolescents, and adults.
- Experience working with children, youth, and adults with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties in community-based, school-based and/or day program settings.
- Proficiency in treatment planning, goal writing, treatment evaluation and report writing.
