Role Title : CRM & Digital Marketing Manager - Remote position, may require some visits to GM’s HQ

The Position
CM2 supports CRM and Digital marketing activities at General Motors of Canada Company. CM2 is aligned with the vehicle sales and service activities of GM. The CRM & Digital Marketing Manager role is a full-time position within the marketing team at GM’s Canadian headquarters in Oshawa.

The CRM & Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for the development and execution of email, mail, lead management, social, and digital signage marketing initiatives at GM. The Marketing Account Manager interfaces with marketing stakeholders at GM, advertising agencies, suppliers and partners that support the timely delivery of marketing campaigns.
The Successful Candidate
You are skilled at facilitating the execution of marketing projects including CRM, Direct Marketing (DM), Digital, and cutting edge Retail campaigns. You clearly understand traditional DM processes, and ideally, you have experience with both the client, and agency side of marketing in the automotive field.
Specific Requirements and Responsibilities
- 4+ years of solid direct marketing experience with leading edge tools & processes
- BA/Business degree in marketing, advertising, communications or related field
- Experience as the primary client contact for marketing initiatives
- Agency experience is a plus and/or experience working in automotive/retail marketing
- Knowledge of CRM, Digital, and Retail functional areas and processes; including production, creative, account management, project management, and data
- Ability to write inspiring briefs for the creative team
- Strategic marketing and analytical skills, including solving business and brand challenges
- Ability to collaborate with team members and find effective solutions to project or resource issues
- Ability to identify the stakeholders needed for a project, and lead regular project status meetings with the stakeholders
- Experience developing project plans
- Ability to partner well with clients, suppliers, partners, and team members
- Strong sense of initiative and ability to work under pressure on multiple projects
- Experience leading client projects in a technical and/or marketing environment
- Ability to write communications to various stakeholders (Dealers, GM Field Staff, GM Corporate Marketing) announcing the launch of new marketing initiatives
- Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrate managerial courage when appropriate
