Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Diesel Engine repair, flatbed trailer and heavy equipment maintenance. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and various mechanical components on a wide range of vehicles and equipment, including Semi Truck, Flatbed Trailer and Dry van trailers. The Diesel Mechanic will ensure all machinery operates efficiently, safely, and reliably to support our operational needs.
Duties
- Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, heavy equipment.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, filter replacements, and system inspections.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues.
- Operate power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, and other specialized machinery for repairs and assembly.
- Repair or replace faulty components using appropriate mechanical knowledge and techniques.
- Conduct heavy lifting as required to remove or install large parts or equipment.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts used.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair needs clearly to clients or team members.
Experience
- Proven mechanic experience with a focus on diesel engines and heavy equipment maintenance.
- Dealership experience is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience with excavators, cranes, forklifts, Caterpillar machinery, HVAC systems, welding, electrical systems, and schematics interpretation.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety and quality workmanship.
Pay: $20.00-$21.00 per hour
