Job Title: Brake Press Machine Operator
Location: Milton, ON
Shift: Day Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
Afternoon Shift (3:30 PM – 12:00 AM)
Pay Rate: $22–$24/hour (based on experience)
We are currently hiring a reliable and experienced Sheet Metal Punch Machine Operator for a manufacturing company in Milton. Please note this is a temp to perm position.
Responsibilities:
- Operate machines (brake press, shearing, punching, bending) safely and efficiently.
- Conduct pre-start safety checks and report concerns to your supervisor.
- Perform basic machine maintenance as needed.
- Use software like Dynamic Machine Management (DMM) and drawing vault tools (e.g., Enovia, Vault) to view and manage designs.
- Work from drawings or supervisor instructions to set up and operate machines.
- Organize completed orders with proper tagging, bins, and pallets.
- Monitor machines to prevent jams, clear blockages, and ensure proper lubrication.
- Handle additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating brake press machines (3+ year required)
- Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and safety procedures of a manufacturing facility.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics is an asset. Ability to perform standard work procedures and processes.
- Demonstrated experience of utilizing mechanical tools and measuring equipment. Good problem solving, mathematical skills and troubleshooting ability
Requirements:
- Steel-toe safety shoes required
- High School Diploma required. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds to shoulder height.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.
- No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.
- Only candidates within an 30 km radius of Milton, ON will be considered.
