Qualifications:Essential:
Experience providing excellent customer service in a client-focused environment
Experience interpreting and applying legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proven ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy in a fast-paced environment
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to balance conflicting priorities and tight deadlines
Experience working with confidential information
Ability to take initiative in the workplace
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)

Desired:
Bilingual (English and French), with the ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, in both official languages

Duties:
Reporting to the Unit Supervisor, Registration and Client Services Representatives are responsible for determining client eligibility for Insured Benefits Programs, registering clients and responding to customer inquiries by providing information to the public by telephone, in person and through written correspondence, on matters relating to registration, claims and other insured programs administered by Manitoba Health (e.g. Registration, Public Trustee, etc). This position works with and ensures compliance with various Acts and Regulations such as The Canada Health Act, The Manitoba Health Services Insurance Act and associated Regulations, the Interprovincial Agreement on Eligibility and Portability, and the Registration/Client Services Internal Policy Manual. This position is also responsible for adhering to The Personal Health Information Act (PHIA) and The Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA).
