We are seeking a dynamic Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Avenue Lighting & Design. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, assisting them with product selection, providing expert advice on lighting and decor options, and ensuring an engaging shopping experience. The ideal candidate will be energetic, customer-focused, and possess a strong knowledge of retail sales, merchandising, and horticultural products.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting lighting fixtures, home decor, and gardening products that meet their needs.
- Provide detailed product information, including features, benefits, and installation tips.
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for sales transactions, cash handling, and receipts.
- Maintain organized merchandising displays that highlight product features and current promotions.
- Support landscape maintenance and gardening product sales through knowledgeable recommendations.
- Manage inventory levels by restocking shelves and updating product displays regularly.
- Assist with e-commerce order processing and customer inquiries via online platforms.
- Deliver excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and fostering positive relationships.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure store cleanliness, organization, and a welcoming environment.
- Promote ongoing sales initiatives and loyalty programs to enhance customer engagement.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in retail sales or customer service roles preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and cashiering best practices.
- Knowledge of landscaping, gardening, horticulture, or home decor products is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail in merchandising and stock management.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Passion for providing exceptional customer service and building lasting client relationships.
- Basic understanding of e-commerce platforms and online order processing is desirable.
