Skills:
-Must have at least one year of driving experience in Canada.
-Must have USA visa
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a long haul driver or similar role
- Proficient in operating forklifts and other relevant equipment
- Strong knowledge of freight transportation regulations and procedures
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance tasks
- Excellent time management skills to ensure on-time deliveries
- Strong communication skills to interact with dispatchers, customers, and team members effectively
Duties:
- Operate and drive primarily tractor-trailer (flatbed) to transport goods and materials over long distances
- Preform pre trip inspections
- Drive a vehicle in a professional manner
- Fill out proper documentation
- Tarping
- Picks and drops
- Administer bills of lading and manually or electronically maintain logbooks
- Transport goods and materials over long distances, ensuring timely and safe delivery
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic automotive repairs as needed
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members
