ESTIMATOR
Reporting to the VP of Advanced Engineering, the ideal candidate for this position will be a self-starter with proven strong organizational, research and analytical skills.

OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITES:
- Determines the cost of producing parts and/or components and assemblies for the DBG Manufacturing facilities based on Customer requirements.
- Prepares process plans and costing models of potential new components and be able to determine type and cost of material required. Establishing stamping tonnages, material blank sizes and cycle times to cost manufactured parts.
- Review Customer supplied data and prepare quote packages for Customers.
- Develop and document detailed descriptions of jobs quoted.
- Ensure historical data is used to refine the accuracy of quotes on an ongoing basis.
- Obtain outside quotes on materials and services as needed.
- Source and select suppliers for raw material(s)
- Suggest improvements on estimating systems to increase the efficiency and accuracy of the process.
- Act as a liaison between engineering department, sales department and production facilities to develop accurate quotes.
QUALIFICATIONS
Metal component & sub-assembly processing knowledge and related experience. 5+years
Tooling & Fixture quoting experience (3+ years)
Metal stamping & fabrication experience a must
Knowledge in die costing models
Essential knowledge CAD/SolidWorks or similar
Excellent blue print reading skills and GD&T knowledge
Tool & Die Making / Tool & Fixture Designing skills an asset
Strong analytical and mathematical ability
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
Proficient MS Office skills (Excel / PPT)
