The Role:
The Spanish Student Success Manager plays a vital, high-touch role within our school community, serving as the primary bridge between the school, our families, and our local enrollment partners. This position balances dedicated student support and parent relations with the strategic management and hosting of local recruitment agencies, ensuring a welcoming and seamless experience for all stakeholders. As the school grows, this dynamic role will evolve to include direct local student recruitment initiatives and community outreach. Please note that fluent bilingualism in both English and Spanish (written and verbal) is a strict requirement for this position. The successful candidate must possess the cultural competence and professional language proficiency necessary to communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking families, draft official correspondence, and confidently host international or domestic agency partners. Some travel will be required.
What You Will Do:
1. Student Management and Support
- Act as a primary point of contact for student inquiries, providing academic, social, or administrative guidance to ensure a positive student experience.
- Monitor student engagement, attendance, and overall well-being, collaborating with faculty and leadership to implement support plans when needed.
- Foster an inclusive, safe, and supportive campus culture that aligns with the school’s values and mission.
- Assist in coordinating student orientation, integration programs, and extracurricular support.
2. Communication and Liaison with Parents
- Serve as a trusted liaison between the school and parents, ensuring timely, transparent, and professional communication regarding student progress and school updates.
- Manage and resolve parent inquiries, feedback, or concerns with high diplomacy and a solutions-oriented approach.
- Facilitate parent engagement through regular updates, newsletters, and the coordination of parent-teacher meetings or school community events.
3. Agency Management and Institutional Hosting
- Manage and nurture relationships with local student recruitment agencies and partners to support institutional enrollment goals.
- Oversee the end-to-end hosting and reception of visiting recruitment agents, including conducting professional campus tours, presenting school programs, and showcasing campus life.
- Act as the primary brand ambassador during agent visits, ensuring the school's unique value proposition is effectively communicated.
- Track agency performance and compliance with the school's enrollment policies and partnership agreements.
4. Strategic Local Student Recruitment (Future Scope)
- Contribute to the development and execution of strategic local recruitment initiatives to drive future enrollment growth.
- Represent the school at local education fairs, community events, and networking functions to build a robust pipeline of prospective domestic students.
- Conduct informational sessions and follow up with prospective families to guide them through the admissions and enrollment funnel.
- Analyze local market trends and demographics to identify new student recruitment channels and opportunities.
Required Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Communications, Business Administration, Hospitality, International Relations, Education, or a related discipline.
- Certification or training in Intercultural Communication, Admissions, or Student Services is considered a strong asset.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in a private school, higher education environment.
- Proven experience in a relationship-focused or student-facing role (e.g., student services, admissions, client relations, or parent liaison).
- Demonstrated experience handling stakeholder communications or managing external partnerships (such as local vendors, community groups, or recruitment agencies).
- Experience or strong comfort level with public speaking, conducting tours, or hosting professional guests.
- Prior experience working within an admissions funnel or contributing to recruitment/sales targets would be an asset.
Required Skills/Qualifications
- Bilingual Fluency (English & Spanish): Absolute native or professional proficiency in both written and spoken English and Spanish is mandatory. The successful candidate must be able to seamlessly switch between languages to support families, write professional correspondence, and host international or domestic Spanish-speaking agency partners.
- Exceptional Interpersonal Skills: High emotional intelligence, empathy, and diplomacy. Ability to handle sensitive or confidential student and parent matters with absolute discretion.
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to act as a polished brand ambassador for the school when welcoming local recruitment agencies, hosting campus tours, or engaging with prospective families.
- Organization & Event Planning: Strong coordination skills to manage agent itineraries, host visits, and assist with student orientation or parent events.
- Growth Mindset: A proactive approach to learning the local student market, with the ability to transition into active, direct local recruitment initiatives in the future.
- Student Information & Life Management Platforms: Proficiency in using, tracking, and updating student records within Reach Student Life Management (or a similar Student Information System/SIS).
- Office Productivity Suites: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Office), with specific emphasis on: Word: For drafting polished, professional parent correspondence, school policy updates, and agency agreements. Excel: For tracking recruitment pipelines, managing visitor schedules, data entry, and monitoring basic student data metrics. PowerPoint: For delivering professional campus presentations to visiting recruitment agencies and parent groups.
- Communication Technologies: Expert familiarity with WhatsApp for managing real-time, professional communication with international and local recruitment agencies, as well as Spanish-speaking families.
- Digital Adaptability: Ability to confidently navigate cloud-based platforms, mobile coordination apps, and virtual meeting software (such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams) for remote stakeholder meetings.
